La Falda: a newly-discovered Maricunga-style gold porphyry in the Andean Cordillera

An extensive alteration pattern, typical of the geological environment associated with Maricunga gold-porphyry deposits, is developed over several square kilometres.

The large scale of the alteration, the geological setting, the nature of the gold-bearing veins and the pronounced geophysical response and the lack of exploration in depth are the attraction of this project.

The exploration target at Falda is a multi-million ounce gold-porphyry deposit with additional epithermal gold-silver mineralisation - all probably within 500m depth.
